Two Goat

Over a river there was a very narrow bridge. One day a goat was crossing this bridge. Just at the middle of the bridge he met another goat. There was no room for them to pass. Two Goats"Go back," said one goat to the other, "there is no room for both of us".

"Why should I go back?", said the other goat. "Why should not you go back?"

" You must go back", said the first goat, "because I am stronger than you."

"You are not stronger than I", said the second goat.

"We will see about that", said the first goat, and he put down his horns to fight.

"Stop!", said the second goat. " If we fight, we shall both fall into the river and be drowned. Instead I have a plan- I shall lie down, and you may walk over me."

Then the wise goat lay down on the bridge, and the other goat walked lightly over him. So they passed each other, and went on their ways.

King log

King Log

The frogs in the lake had an easy life doing exactly what they wanted. King LogBut what pleased one frog annoyed another, and they could see things could be better. All the frogs agreed they needed a strong leader to make the rules they should live by. So they sent a message to the King of all animals. "Very well," said the King, and threw a log into a lake, telling the frogs this was their new leader.

At first the frogs were terrified of it.

When it splashed into the lake they all dived to the bottom and hid in mud. But after a while, when the log did nothing but float on the surface, they lost their fear. They hopped all over it and carried on as before. They sent another message to the King saying they needed a better one.

"Then you must learn your lesson," said the King. This time he sent a water snake, who took one look at all the frogs and ate as many of them as it could catch.

Chocolate fondue

chocolate fondue(chocolate is so dealicuos)
Preparation Time: 1 hour

Nutrition Info: super nutritional

Ingredients:
12 ounces of dark chocolate (chips or roughly chopped if from a block)
8 ounces of heavy cream
A pinch of salt
Dippables such as strawberries, banana pieces cut into 1-inch chunks, dried appricots, candied ginger, apple pieces

Directions:  1 Warm the cream over moderate heat until tiny bubbles show and begins to lightly and slowly boil. Add the chocolate and whisk until smooth and full incorporated. 2 Immediately transfer to a fondue pot heated at low or with a low flame, or serve straight from the pot. 3 Arrange the dippables on a platter or plates around the chocolate pot. Use a fondue fork, bamboo skewer, seafood fork, or salad fork to dip the fruit pieces and other dippables into the hot melted cream chocolate mixture. Eat immediately. If the fondue begins to feel a little stiff, add a tablespoon of heavy cream and stir. It will help it go a little longer. Eventually, it will cook down though and you may need to start a new pot. Add a tablespoon or two of Bailey's Irish Cream to the chocolate. Other liquors such as Grand Marnier, Amaretto, or Kirsch are equally yummy. Add a 1/2 teaspoon of cinnamon and ancho chili pepper for a nice Mexican Chocolate. The contents of a vanilla pod or some vanilla extract are always a decadent touch to chocolate. A good pinch of espresso powder can do wonders! Orange zest or grapefruit zest is nice way to create a slightly fruity chocolate. A few tablespoons of Torani flavoring syrups (the kind used for coffee or Italian sodas) can add a nice dimension of flavor as well. White chocolate is always a nice change, and spiked with a little liquor or citrus zest becomes heavenly. Steeping the cream for an hour beforehand and while heating it can add a nice subtle flavor, lemongrass for white chocolate or a bag of Earl Grey tea for dark chocolate are particularly stylish and contemporary

MOuse Stories

Oh, for the simple life!

Millie was a town-mouse who had a cousin called Cora in the country. Millie went to spend her holidays with her. Every day they had barley for breakfast and tea, and corn for supper. Oh, for the simple life! They ate as much as they liked, and then went to sleep snug and warm in the hay.

"What boring food you have, Millie," said Cora. "Always the same things to eat. Come and stay with me and see all the good things we have in town." So Cora caught the mouse bus and went to town.

Millie showed Cora all the scrumptious food in her house – butter, bread and honey, peas, beans and fruit. "Let's have a feast," said Millie. But every time they began eating, something dreadful happened.

First, some humans came in and the mice fled in terror.

Next came a fierce dog and, worst of all, the cat chased them out of the house. "I'm exhausted," said Cora after a day. "I'm off home at once. We may not have exciting food but at least I can eat in peace!"

But he was so big and clumsy that he knocked him flying! Denzil's reward was to be tied up in the barnyard in disgrace.

Little dog

A man had a little dog, and he was very fond of it. He would pat its head, and take it on his knee, and talk to it. Then he would give it little bits of food from his own plate.

A donkey looked in at the window and saw the man and the dog.

"Why does he not make a pet of me?" said the donkey.

"It is not fair. I work hard, and the dog only wags its tail, and barks, and jumps on its master's knee. It is not fair."

Then the donkey said to himself, "If I do what the dog does, he may make a pet of me."

So the donkey ran into the room. It brayed as loudly as it could. It wagged its tail so hard that it knocked over a jar on the table. Then it tried to jump on to its master's knee.

The master thought the donkey was mad, and he shouted, "Help! Help!" Men came running in with sticks, and they beat the donkey till it ran out of the house, and they drove it back to the field.

"I only did what the dog does," said the donkey," and yet they make a pet of the dog, and they beat me with sticks. It is not fair."
